Monthly Musings: March 2017

This week marks the end of the first quarter for 2017 which makes it a great time to pause and reflect. Did you set a New Year’s resolution that has long been forgotten? Or, are very much on track?

Maybe you didn’t set any big goals and instead, are wondering where you’re headed.  I was at a workshop for professional speakers a few weeks ago, and the facilitator reminded us that “we become what we do every day, not what we do once in a while.”  I thought it was a great reminder about the power of small steps and changes.  If I develop a healthy habit of quiet reflection ten minutes a day, or walk an extra set of stairs a day, or read one positive paragraph in the morning, it can have as much or more impact than waiting to make some huge change.

I subscribe to “Notes from the Universe” which gives me a free and easy daily email with an uplifting message and a reminder of my goodness. It takes less than one minute to read and often makes me laugh.  Another quick and free resource I enjoy as a daily habit is from entrepreneur, Darren Hardy. His quick videos called “Darren Daily” talks about positive beliefs and habits and are a great way to start the day.  Try adding one new habit and let me know how you’re doing!
